Bower Healthcare provides casual and contract nursing and care personnel within the healthcare sector.
To match suitable workers with client orders we need to take into consideration the employee’s skills and preferences and the client’s specific requirements and to do so, we need to collect appropriate information pertaining to both.
In applying for placement you consent to our collecting and disclosing your private information in accordance with this statement. Please note that these provisions do not apply to personnel records.
What information may we collect and hold?
This will include:
- Your name/address/telephone number and email address
- Career details/ qualifications/ experience and work preferences
- Other information as supplied in your resume (CV)/ application form and during your interview with us
- Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination record
- At times we also need, with your consent, to collect sensitive information such as about your health/ passport details and criminal record

Information is collected directly from you at interview, via application forms, internet application documents, emails and your resume. We may also seek further data from other sources, such as your nominated referees. Sensitive information, such as that relating to your health or criminal record will only be collected from qualified practitioners or authorities with your consent.

The information we collect will be used in our business of providing healthcare agency services to our clients and assisting you in securing placements.

However, the ultimate integrity of the data depends on the information you provide. Bower Healthcare encourages you to notify us of any inaccuracies in your details and keep us updated with changes such as to your address and contact details.
Your personal information may be stored in hard copy or electronically. Bower Healthcare has security processes in place to protect personal data from misuse.
Accessing personal information
You are able to access your personal details during office hours by making an appointment with our Managing Director.
Complaints pertaining to a breach of an Australian Privacy Principal
Should you believe that your personal details have been used in a way that breaches the APP’s then in the first instance please notify the Managing Director in writing. If you are not ultimately satisfied with the response received, then an independent mediator may be engaged by the Company to address the situation to a satisfactory conclusion.
